Glittering Lights & Twinkle Time

By Natalia Castro, MK Summerlin- NW Las Vegas Publisher December 9, 2014
We had out of town visitors this week and decided to end the weekend by seeing the Glittering Lights at the Las Vegas Speedway. There is a reason this was awarded the top 10 best annual events in Vegas. It's BEAUTIFUL! I was with the fiance, kids, and grandparents and everyone loved it! It felt like the holiday season is really here.  We enjoyed the hot apple cider and hot cocoa while listening to the holiday music and seeing the over 2.5 miles of millions of lights. The event is reasonable priced, as are the treats at the start of the light show, we also got the Snowflake glasses which were a hit. There are discounted days and a season pass available.  Check out the calendar for all the details. This is definitely a new tradition for our family!

This morning my 3 year old and I woke up bright and early to see Twinkle Time and Friends at Child's Play. It was our first time at this indoor playground and my son loved it. Twinkle Time's performance was full of energy, the littles were dancing and clapping along. The costumes are vibrant and the songs are all very catchy. Everyone enjoyed the performance, which was a perfect length for this age group. I really liked that all the songs were meaningful. Twinkle and friends sang about teamwork, rising and shining, friends, self acceptance, and love. They were great at involving the audience; with a dance party and a clean up song in Spanish. After the show they signed pictures for the kids, which was very sweet. My son was a little hesitant at first and by the end he was high fiving and waving good bye.

If you missed yesterday's performance you can see Twinkle Time TODAY at the Northwest Child's Play location (7060 N Durango Dr #130, Las Vegas 89149) at 9am. Tickets for members are $5 and non members pay $7 for just the show or $12 for the show AND unlimited play for the day. My little had so much fun he didn't want to leave!

Have a great week!
