Engineering for Kids is taking precautions to keep your kids safe!
Here are some of the most notable changes:
- Lowered enrollments caps to ensure safety
- Camps in June will be limited to 8 per class.
- Camps in July and beyond will be limited to 12 or higher (pending CDC and State Guidelines).
- Breaks for each class will run on separate tracks to minimize physical interaction between the two classes.
- Full day camp sessions only.
- Student drop-off and pick up will be outside.
- Sanitizing all touchpoints and camp materials routinely.
- Students and Staff required to follow strict safety procedures such as:
- Scan body temperature on entry each day.
- Wash hands routinely and always have full access to hand sanitizer.
- No group projects (students will be provided with individual sets of tools and supplies).
- Activities that promoted proximity or communal materials (such as the Lego wall, magnetic ramps) will be replaced with individually allocated construction toys and puzzles.
- Food consumption in individual, designated areas.
- Staff mandated to wear face masks.
- For the month of June ONLY, we are not offering camps for children younger than 7 (6-year-olds who turn 7 by September 2020 will be allowed to participate).
- While enhanced safety measures are being taken at Engineering for Kids Las Vegas, by attending our summer camps and classes, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
