Redfoo encourages team as Assistant Coach

The Vegas Rollers has secured the Orleans Arena as its home venue. The Rollers will be coached by Tim Blenkiron – a 1997 NCAA Division I Doubles national champion at UNLV and coach for WTA player Asia Muhammad – with Sally Dewhurst serving as the General Manager.

Additionally, Orleans Arena in Las Vegas will host the 2019 WTT semifinals on Aug. 2 and WTT Finals on Aug. 3

The Vegas Rollers, our first and only professional tennis team, is partnering with pop music icon Redfoo to serve as the team‘s assistant coach, promising to bring a new level of

enthusiasm to both his teammates and the audience. As the Vegas Rollers “Ace,“ Redfoo (a.k.a. Stefan Kendal Gordy) can be seen at every Vegas

Rollers home game from July 20-August 3 pumping up his team and the crowd. Best known for the mega-hit “Party Rock Anthem,“ Redfoo has been an avid tennis player and enthusiast his

whole life. After an injury sidelined his pro career, he went into the family business (music), forming the Grammy-nominated electronic duo LMFAO. Foo is a member of the USTA and his popular Party

Rock clothing line was the title sponsor of the USTA Pro Circuit Women‘s $50,000 event played at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas in 2012 and 2013.

“I‘m here to give the Rollers Party Rockin‘ vibes,” says Redfoo. “And to inspire them to take home the trophy! Yeahhhhhhh Baby!”

World TeamTennis showcases the best in professional tennis with the innovative team format co-founded by Billie Jean King in the 1970s. Recognized as the leader in professional team

tennis competition, WTT features many of the world’s best players competing annually for the King Trophy, the League’s championship trophy named after Bille Jean King.

• WTT crowds are encouraged to be vocal about great play (while still being respectful of all players) and are allowed to enter/exit the stadium during play without having to

In a WTT match, each team is comprised of two men, two women, and a coach. Team matches consist of five sets, with one set each of men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s

doubles, and mixed doubles. The first team to reach five games wins each set. A nine-point tiebreaker is played if a set reaches four games all. One point is awarded for each game won

and scoring is cumulative. If necessary, Extended Play and a Supertiebreaker are played to determine the winner of the match.


• Scoring is no-ad (first team to win four points wins the game).

• Game scoring is 1, 2, 3, game.

• All games, sets, and Supertiebreakers are won by a margin of one point.

• Each game counts as one point in the team’s cumulative match score.

• The receiver has the choice from which side he/she will receive serve should the game

reach three points each. In mixed doubles, the serve is always gender-to-gender at 3-3.

• Teams change sides every four games.

• Let serves are played.

• The first team to reach five games wins a set. If the set is tied at 4-4, a 9-point tiebreaker
