April 6 put on your Red Shoes and striped socks and come out to the Runnin' for the House 5K Run & Fun Walk! This is a cause that I have supported for ten years and am so excited to be a sponsor and see YOU at this event.
If you are not familiar with what happens at the Ronald McDonald House Charities the best way to sum it up is they allow families to be together without the additional financial worry of figuring out housing. The RMHC gives families a place to stay while their sick child receives care in local hospitals.
Throughout the year volunteers are welcomed to cook dinner for families. During the holidays they invite all current and former residents to a holiday party where the families receive a bag full of gifts. These "small" kindnesses go such a long way for a family with an ill child.
Since 2004, Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) of Greater Las Vegas has hosted its annual Runnin’ for the House 5K Run and Fun Walk at the House each spring. The Run features a certified 5k course, pancake breakfast, booth expo, children’s activities, and a great raffle. Attendees have the opportunity to tour the House while at the event and learn how their participation directly helps RMHC®.
