Happy Thanksgiving!
I am so grateful for each one of you that subscribes to this email, follows on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and shares our articles and Event Calendar with your friends and family. I spend countless hours searching for events, writing articles, and creating guides in the hopes that it will help you find family fun each week. This month I celebrated my "Maciversary" and I am so thankful to be part of our community.
This year we are not traveling for Thanksgiving and decided before celebrating at home we wanted to give back to the community by giving out Thanksgiving bags. Each one of us decorated a paper bag and we filled them with non perishable items like granola bars, fruit pouches, and ready made meals. Tomorrow we will give them out to people who may not have a home and family to celebrate with. See the bags in our Instagram highlights and Facebook story. Mark your calendar for Small Business Saturday. Local businesses will have special promotions and we will have giveaways all day sponsored by our local partners. Put it on your calendar for THIS SATURDAY! Take a photo at one of our local sponsor's locations and share with us on Facebook (Summerlin Macaroni Kid) or tag us on Instagram (mackid.nwvegas) for extra entries in our giveaways.
In the spirit of giving we are hosting a Pete the Cat #GivingIsGroovy Storytime on December 8th at At Your Service Pet Supplies. We will have a story, craft, donation opportunity, photos with Santa, light refreshments and raffles! Spots are limited so make sure to RSVP here.
