15 Family Friendly Independence Day Events (and they’re mostly free!)

With Independence Day falling on Wednesday the festivities begin this Saturday and run for a full week! You’ll find more opportunities than ever before to catch a local fireworks show beginning Saturday, June 30. Enjoy and be safe! 

Morning Festivities

Annual Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade

July 4th 9-11 am

       Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy the many floats, giant inflatable balloons, marching bands, Broadway Kids Academy Performance Company and characters celebrating Independence Day. Parade begins at Hillpointe Rd and Hills Center Dr traveling south toward Village Center Circle and ends at Trailwood Dr.

  

Weekend Festivals

The LINQ Promenade

June 30 - July 4th beginning at noon 

The Linq Promenade will host an LED parade starting at 8:15 p.m. Saturday. The evening will also feature body marbling 8:15 to 11:15 p.m., and the Caesars Palace fireworks show around 9:20 pm. On Sunday, the parade kicks off at noon with family-friendly activities, including balloon art, balloon toss contests and jugglers, until 10 p.m. The Saints of Las Vegas will perform at 7 p.m. both days on the Fountain Stage. On Monday, Timmy Sneaks will do a live art exhibition from 5 to 11 p.m. For the Fourth of July, the promenade will feature activities, stilt walkers, caricature artists, hula hoop performers and entertainment noon to 10 p.m. The High Roller observation wheel will be lit red, white and blue beginning at sunset. 

 

Laughlin

28h Annual Rockets over the River will celebrate with nightly fireworks at 9 pm.

Night of Fire

July 3rd 5 pm  

Adults $15 in advance/ $20 day of; $13 in advance/$17 day of for seniors and military; 12 and under free with adult entry

Las Vegas Motor Speedway, 7000 Las Vegas Blvd. North. 

Featuring NASCAR-sanctioned stock car racing, skid plate racing, post-race fireworks, $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products and $3 Budweiser beers. Racing begins at 7 p.m. Fireworks to follow.

July 3rd at 7pm (start at $17/ticket)

Celebrate Independence Day with America's favorite past time and enjoy fireworks after the game.

4th of July 

Texas Station & Fiesta Rancho

Family friendly festivals at both properties’ outdoor parking lots with fireworks at 9 pm 

Outside Fiesta Rancho, guests will enjoy live entertainment with the Latin Vida Reunion Band and DJ Leo, with live salsa demonstrations by Salsa Las Vegas Dancers. There will also be live wrestling from Lucha Libre Las Vegas and a wide assortment of food vendors. Across the street at Texas Station’s lot live entertainment includes Emcee DJ Caffeine, a trick roper, mechanical bull, performances by the Tony Marques Band and line dance lessons.

At both properties, guests can also enjoy a Kids Fun Zone with bounce houses, a super slide, electronic animal rides, face painters and balloon artists.

 

Lake Las Vegas 

July 4th 7 pm-10:00 pm

        Celebrate with live music, sidewalk sales,and fireworks at 9 pm. Free to attend

 

70th Annual Boulder City Damboree Celebration 

July 4th 7 am-11 pm

       The celebration is all over Boulder City beginning with a pancake breakfast at 7 am at Bicentennial Park (1100 Colorado St). Parade follows at 9am beginning on Colorado Street and ending at Broadbent Memorial Park. Festivities at Broadbent Park (1301 5th St) include midway booths, food, drinks, and games will go from 10am - 4pm. Veteran's Memorial Park (1650 Buchanan Blvd) will hold its party from 4 - 11 pm. Fireworks are scheduled for 9 pm.

 

City of Henderson 4th of July Celebration 

July 4th 6-9 pm

        Enjoy a night of family fun. Live music begins at 6 pm with fireworks at 9 pm in Heritage Park. Food vendors, rock wall, music and more for family fun. Fireworks show begins approximately at 9 pm (350 E. Racetrack Rd, Henderson). 

 

Liberty Festival of Pahrump 

July 4th 6am - 9:30 pm

Free admission

         The Pahrump Fourth of July fireworks show will be presented at 9 p.m. Wednesday at Petrack Park at Highway 160 and Basin Avenue. “Fireworks Over Pahrump,” where visitors can launch their own fireworks, will be offered from 7 to midnight Friday through Wednesday at the Pahrump Fireworks Launch Site, located 1-mile west on Gamebird Road, off of Highway 160. A permit must be obtained from one of the five fireworks stores in Pahrump. Permits are $5 per person. The launch site is first come, first served and visitors have a 30-minute time limit.

 

Stratosphere

July 4th 10 am - 6 pm

Locals with Nevada ID receive free observation tower admission ($25 value) and BOGO free admission to Crafted Buffet. Free valet and self-parking available 

 

TPC Summerlin

July 4th, 5pm - 9:30 pm

1700 Village Center Circle 

Enjoy food, family activities, and music by the Las Vegas Symphony Orchestra. General admission $10 per person with 4 pack available for $25 (VIP options available), bring blankets or low chairs. No coolers or outside food or beverages. Free water will be provided, refillable water bottles are encouraged. 

 

July 7th

Stupak Red, White & Blue Family Fun Fest (all ages)

Saturday, July 7, 10 a.m. to noon

Free and open to the public. Enjoy family friendly activities with carnival games, cupcake walk, prizes and more

In honor of our nations birthday, we’re throwing a colossal celebration filled with country music courtesy of 95.5 The Bull,foam parties, mechanical bull riding and more! Stick around to end the evening with a spectacular fireworks display at approximately 9:45pm.
