Macaroni Seussification

Letter from the publisher

It's here, it's here Dr. Seuss birthday is very near! March begins with one of my favorite birthday celebrations, Dr. Seuss' birthday! Schools across the country celebrate by kicking off Read Across America Week. Dr. Seuss is without a doubt my favorite children's author. His rhymes, alliterations and silly words captivate little ones and motivate older kids AND are so fun to read.
He was also a person who used fantasy and fun to make a difference in the world.

Whether a cat in a red striped hat is telling us to be "who we are and feel what we feel" or a furry Lorax is reminding us that "unless someone like us cares a whole awful lot", each of his stories teaches something and the reader leaves with a little more knowledge and a little more awareness. His stories are filled with hope and action taking, just think of how Horton takes it upon himself to save the village, because "a person's a person no matter how small"!

This week's newsletter has ideas for bringing some of Dr. Seuss' most beloved characters to life. Enjoy Green Eggs and Ham with your kids and make a Cat in the Hat inspired hat to wear on Read Across America Day. For more ideas check out my Pinterest board and visit Seussville
Most importantly READ with and to your kids, no matter their age they will think you're the rage :) Enjoy celebrating!

"The more that you read, the more things you will know. THe more that you learn, the more places you'll go."

Peace, love & macaroni,
Natalia
