Family Promise of Las Vegas has been helping families face the challenges associated with homelessness through various programs and local organizations. The efforts of the volunteers with the support of the community is what makes it possible for this organization to help those in need. The mission of Family Promise of Las Vegas is “to offer homeless families the opportunity to achieve housing stability by providing short term shelter, meals, case management and hospitality.” This is accomplished with the support of the giving hearts of those in the community, local leaders, houses of faith and local service agencies.
To help promote the services offered through Family Promise of Las Vegas, the organization is hosting its First Annual Family Day event at the Henderson Pavilion on Saturday, October 15, 2016. This event will be held from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The First Annual Family Day event is free and open to the public.
What can you expect from this event? Plenty! There will be entertainment, food trucks, arts, crafts and local vendors. There will also be a one-of-a-kind car show sponsored by Count’s Kustoms.
The First Annual Family Day event will be held at the Henderson Pavilion on Saturday, October 15 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Pavilion is located at 200 S. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson. We will be giving away 500 goodie/swag bags to parents who stop by our booth. Kids will be able to participate in a fun activity and/or make a craft. We will also be doing a FREE drawing for a pair of tickets to see Kidz Bop at the Henderson Pavilion on Oct. 22, 2016 and a free drawing for a $25 Vons gift card. Make sure you stop by and see us!
