Free (and Almost Free) Events in Summerlin and Las Vegas

Movies, Activities, and Events to keep your kids busy all summer!

Here is your guide to all the FREE, and almost free, events in Summerlin and Las Vegas to keep your kids busy and in the AC. If you know of any other please comment below or send me an email so I can share. 

Disney Store Summer Play Days (Daily activities)

Kids of all ages enjoy a new activity every day and earn a new bracelet every week. Activities include Art of Drawing, Trivia, Story Time and Showtime. July pins feature Marvel characters and August will feature Disney Jr friends. 


Club Read (Activities throughout the week)
Libraries throughout the valley
Hours vary by event. Check the calendar for specific days 
Las Vegas Clark County libraries continue the summer reading program with family friendly activities. Kids can enjoy story time for all age groups, free movie showings, summer concert series, and Teen Tuesdays among other activities. 

Kid's Court (weekly event)

The US Tennis Association is partnering with Downtown Summerlin to provide free tennis clinics for kids ages 3-10 years old. No reservations required and equipment is provided.

Crafts at Lakeshore (weekly event)

Each week features a new summer inspired craft. July 18th kids can enjoy making a Jumping Jellyfish, July 25th they will stay cool with a sun visor. Crafts continue throughout the year with themes changing to fit the seasons and holidays. These crafts are prefect for kids from preschool through school age. 

Summer Movie Nights (weekly event)
Thursday nights at Downtown Summerlin, Town Square & Downtown Container Park 
Movies begin at sundown every Thursday

Choose from one of the three locations showing family friendly movies every week! Movies begin at sundown (8ish) but come early to get a spot and enjoy fun family friendly activities before the movie. All movies are rated G or PG and a different movie is shown every week. Bring a blanket or chairs and a picnic dinner or shop the vendors providing food. 

Regal Summer Movie Express - $1  (weekly event)

Tuesday & Wednesday 10am
Kicking off June 14 with The Lego Movie and Max families can enjoy 2 family friendly movies every week. Both movies play both days at 10 am, so you can see two movies each week for $1 each! 

Camp Creativity 
(Activities 3 times per week with a new weekly theme)

Monday, Wednesday & Friday 10am-12pm
$5 per session or $12 for 2 sessions
Children will enjoy two hours of creative projects while you shop around the store. Each day features a different activity, with new themes each week. All supplies are included and students create a new project to take home each day. Reservations are recommended but drop ins are welcome. Projects are recommended for ages 4-12 years old and parents must stay in store for the class duration.
