Tupperware - Making Life a Little Smoother for Mom

Mother's Day Gift Guide

By Jennifer Sampson April 17, 2016
Tupperware is a Mother’s best friend! We can save you time, money and energy. My number 1 Mother’s day must have is the Quick Chef Pro System. If you took my Quick Chef out of my kitchen I might just go on strike and not make food anymore. It chops up stuff so fast while keeping all the mess, splatters, and smells (think onions!) trapped inside. It saves time and money without using electricity. I don’t buy cut-up versions of foods because I know I can easily and quickly chop them up in here! It has three sharp blades that chop up vegetables, nuts, hard-boiled eggs, herbs, fruits, and more very fast; a paddle whisk for mixing and whisking (pudding, whipped cream, a whole cake mix, salad dressing, etc.); a funnel with measurements for making dressings and other things that need the liquid drizzled in slowly; a small basket to spin-dry fresh herbs, small salads, fruit that you want to get the extra moisture out of (like pineapple if you’re making a pineapple upside-down cake or pineapple salsa); an ergonomic cover with an easy to turn handle; and an airtight and liquid-tight seal for storing any food you've just chopped up. Plus the bowl of the Quick Chef is pretty enough to serve food in as well!
One of my favorite things to make at a party is Salsa Fresca.
Tupperware Salsa Fresca
You’ll Need:
Tupperware Quick Chef Pro
3 Roma Tomatoes (Quartered)
Fresh Cilantro (a big handful-to taste)
¼ Medium sized onion
2 cloves garlic (or 1tsp. minced)
2 TBS Lemon juice (or juice from ½ a lemon, fresh squeezed)
1 tsp Garlic Salt Jalapeno (1/3 mild – 2/3 Med. – Whole hot)
Using the Tupperware Quick Chef Pro, chop/stir the garlic salt, onion, garlic, cilantro & jalapeno till they are chopped as fine as you prefer. Open the Quick Chef and add the tomato, use the Tupperware Lemon Lime Press and press the juice from ½ a lemon and chop/stir till salsa is desired consistency.

Tupperware’s Fridgesmart containers are great for saving your produce! They keep your produce fresh way longer by giving it the amount of air it needs. Some produce needs to be sealed up airtight (like carrots, celery, berries, etc), some needs a small amount of air (like cauliflower, lettuce, etc), and some needs to get more air (like broccoli, spinach, peas, corn, etc). These containers allow you to have one container that works for all three types by adjusting the air vent. It also has a grid in the bottom to hold extra moisture so that produce isn't sitting in the water, which would make it go bad faster. And because they stack, you can make good use of the space in your fridge. And because they are clear and go on the shelves of your fridge, you will more easily see what produce you have and be more likely to use it! It eliminates the need for the “compost bin” in your fridge, which is what my friend calls her crisper drawer ;-) Tupperware says it will double the life of your produce…in my experience it’s more like quadruple or more! Strawberries—2 to 3 weeks. Broccoli—3 to 4 weeks. Lettuce—4 to 6 weeks. Carrots—2 to 3 months. It’s seriously like magic.

Are you tired of never being able to find anything in the pantry? Modular Mates is the answer to all of your problems. These containers are great for organizing and keep products fresh. They come in 5 different heights to fit any size shelf are easily stackable. One thing I really want to emphasize is that the Rectangular and Super Ovals fill the space from the front to the back of your cabinet, but the Squares and Ovals leave wasted space in front, and then you're very likely to put things on the shelf in front of the Modular Mates which is very frustrating because then you have to take out all the extra things to get to the Modular Mates. So the Rectangular and Super Ovals eliminate that problem. They also hold a lot more too, you're getting a LOT more capacity so you're getting more bang for your buck. The Squares and Ovals are less than 2/3 the size of the rectangular and Super Ovals. The Squares and Ovals are really designed for boats and camper trailers.
You’re going to hate me for showing you the Vent ‘n Serve. They will become your favorite, and you’ll always wish you had more. It’s like you can never have enough of these containers, and better yet - they are the “husband-proof” – here’s why: • They are actually MADE to go in the microwave (unlike all that other stuff that I know you put in the microwave and shouldn’t) • The bases are non-porous so they don’t stain (no more red rings around the container from the microwave). • They microwave with the lid on, so they don’t splatter (cause nobody wants to job of cleaning the microwave). • They go straight from the freezer to the microwave – no thawing or cracking (Can you even believe that one?). • The handles don’t get hot when you microwave (no more playing hot potato with your containers when you grab them). • The one night a week you ACTUALLY make an awesome dinner, you can make extra on purpose and freeze these guys and since cooked food lasts 3-5 months you can decide when your awesome dinner sounds awesome again….instead of eating it 9 days in a row after you cooked it (nobody wants to do that!) • All Tupperware (including these awesome containers) is BPA and Phthalate free – so you know that your family is SAFE and protected! I use these containers every day…they are my family’s favorite – I know they’ll be yours too. Add these to your wish list….as you’ll not want to miss out on these. We can’t forget to help mom out with the little ones? What home is complete without a Shape-o-Toy! Do you remember how fun it was for you as a child? Great for shape sorting and counting and it helps develop hand-eye coordination. We have a whole line of themed products for the kids.
