Yoga & Art at Salt Room LV

Yoga, Art & Salting

By Natalia Castro, MK Summerlin- NW Las Vegas Publisher July 26, 2015
Yoga and art are a calm and creative use of time for any child. It is even better when the parents can relax and breathe easier, literally, during their children's class. Salt Room LV offers Yoga & Art classes for kids every Sunday from 12-1pm. Yoga mat and art supplies are provided.

During the class parents are invited into the Salt Cave to experience the same benefits of halotherapy that the children are receiving. Halotherapy, or salt therapy, is the process of breathing dry micronized salt particles that help reduce inflammation in the airways and increases the clearance of mucus. This allows allergens and pollutants to be more easily eliminated from the body. Salt therapy provides enhancement to health and body vigor. My favorite part of the whole process is you do not even realize it is going on. SAlting

The kids participate in the state of the art facility featuring a salt castle. There is a large glass window to see inside the room, I observed for the first few minutes of class while my daughter got the hang of the stretches, then it was time for Salting. In the Salt Cave you are invited to relax and enjoy breathing.

Halotherapy is used to alleviate many respiratory and skin ailments including allergies, asthma, psoriasis, sleep apnea, and eczema among other respiratory issues. I had been contemplating purchasing a salt lamp but was uncertain of how effective it would be. Both my daughter and I walked out breathing better. She felt strong and relaxed from her class while I was walking on air after having the chance to lay back and relax for 45 minutes straight. SaltCAve
